Hotspot Insights

The Hotspot Insights panel gives you a tremendous amount of valuable information about your Hotspot(s). It can be used as a tool to help measure different marketing programs and how effective they are working.

  1. Summary Statistics – This shows you at a glance data regarding your Hotspot(s) use compared to the previous same period. In otherwords, by default, the last 7 days of data vs the previous 7 days is displayed. So in the pictured example, you can see that there were 605 connections for the hotspots in the last 7 days which was down 3% from the week before.
  2. Time-Frame selection – Allows you to select the timeframe for the Summary Statistics. By default, the last 7 days of data will be displayed in the Summary Statistics area. You can choose custom dates or select the last 30 days etc. The same time-frame selection is used through the Hotspot Insights panel.
  3. Select Hotspot(s) – Allows you to select a single Hotspot or multiple Hotspots for the Summary Statistics. By default, ALL hotspot(s) information that you have permission to view will be displayed.
  4. Hotspot Usage – This area will show you detailed information related to the hotspot(s) you select in a given time-frame that you select. Simply choose the Hotspot(s) and a time-frame. By default, ALL of the Hotspot(s) information that you have permission to see will be displayed.
  5. New Guests – This is the total number of new, unique guests that have connected to the selected Hotspot(s) during the selected time-frame. If you click the button, you will be presented with a detailed list of the unique guests where you can view the guest profile.
  6. Total Guests – This is the total number of guests (new and past guests) that have connected to the selected Hotspot(s) during the selected time-frame. If you click the button, you will be presented with a detailed list of the unique guests where you can view the guest profile.
  7. Connections – This shows you the number of times the same guest is using your WiFi Hotspot(s) on average during the selected time-frame. If you click the button, you will be directed to the Guest Connections detail report.
  8. Total Connections – This shows you the total number of guest connections since your Hotspot(s) were activated in the JustClickWiFi Dashboard. If you click the button, you will be directed to the Guest Connections detail report.
  9. Average Connections per Guest – This shows you the number of times the same guest is using your WiFi Hotspot(s) on average during the selected time-frame. If you click the button, you will be directed to the Guest Connections detail report.
  10. Guest Usage – This graph shows you detailed use information on your Hotspot(s) during the selected time-frame.
    Total Guests – new guests and repeat guest totals.
    New Guests – guests that have never connected to your Hotspot(s). This is the best indicator of how many new e-mail addresses your Hotspot(s) are collecting.
    Repeat Guests – guests that have been connected to your Hotspot(s) in the past.
  11. Device Connections – This graph shows you the number of physical connections at your Hotspot(s) during the selected time-frame. Roll your mouse over an area to get the actual number.
  12. Visit Duration – This graph shows you how long your guests are staying connected to your Hotspot(s). You can adjust your session time limits if you’d like to increase the amount of time guests can stay connected without re-connecting (perform a search for ‘session limits’).
  13. Peak Days – This graph shows you the peak days that your Hotspot(s) are being used. This is a great indicator of how busy your venue is to help you schedule employees.
  14. Peak Hours – This graph shows you the peak hours (in 24 hour format) that your Hotspot(s) are being used. This is a great indicator of how busy your venue is to help you schedule employees.
  15. Devices Used – This pie chart shows you (during the chosen time period and hotspot(s)) the type of devices that your guests use to connect to your Hotspot(s).
  16. Connection Method – This pie chart shows you (during the chosen time period and hotspot(s)) the method in which your guests connect to your Hotspot(s). Roll your mouse over a specific area to get the percentages.
